BIG AGNES MOTOTENT
A tent designed for motorcycle backpacking.
More and more young professionals strive to escape the bustling city. Individuals with motorcycles who take multi-day trips are there for the ride and prefer a hassle-free shelter at the end of the day.
Motorcycle Adventure Trends.
Motorcycle companies are releasing more and more adventure style motorcycles, many of which are becoming increasingly affordable. These bikes allow the rider to travel to wild places.
Part of a Larger Trend.
More and more people strive to spend their leisure time in the great outdoors. According to Buisnesswire, North Americans are camping more frequently than ever before, with 72% growth among those who camp three or more times each year, the most avid group of campers, since 2014.
Design Opportunities.
There are plenty of examples of shelters that mount to a car or truck, but what about a shelter that mounts to a motorcycle? Motocamping is a growing activity, creating opportunity for a new product.
Ideation.

Final Direction.
The main structure of the tent is the motorcycle itself. There is a 20” tent pole in the front that uses tension to stand up and create more room within the tent.
